In accordance with House Bill 4224 (89th Regular Session) and Section 181.105 of the Texas Health and Safety Code, Texas-licensed behavioral health providers are required to make the following consumer information publicly available.
Consumer Rights. Consumers have the right to:
Request access to their health care records from the licensee
Contact the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC)
File a consumer complaint with the Office of the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division
Requesting Health Care Records. Consumers may request access to their health care records maintained by this practice.
To request health care records:

Requests must include sufficient information to verify the identity of the requester and to identify the records requested.
Requests are processed in accordance with applicable state and federal law.

PRACTICE PRIVACY POLICY
In accordance with state and national policy, Brauman Psychological Services PLLC upholds all state and national standards for the protection of patient health information. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services defined the national standards in the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information ("Privacy Rule"). The Privacy Rule extended the requirements within the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA").
“Individually identifiable health information” includes demographic data; past, present, or future physical or mental health conditions; the type of service or care provided; the past, present, or future payment for the provision of health care,; and any other information that might reasonably identify the patient/individual.
