Please contact our office for a discussion of specific fee schedules and payment options. Dr. Brauman does not accept insurance. Forensic evaluations are not typically covered by commerical insurance carriers as they are considered a legal service rather than a health necessity.
For most evaluations, the typical hourly rate is $250/hour. Evaluations are customized to the referral question and specific case information. You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate before entering into a contract for service.
Pre-surgical evaluations are typically invoiced for a flat fee of $350. Dr. Brauman does offer discounted rates for financial hardship.
Discounted fee evaluations are offered on a case-by-case basis each year to improve access to care for those with financial hardships.
Dr. Brauman is a licensed psychologist providing the following services to adult clients (18+ yrs):

Comprehensive evaluations include clinical interviews and psychological testing appropriate to the referral question.

Used in conjunction with clinical interviewing to assist in answering diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or psycholegal questions.

Dr. Brauman works with your treatment providers to clarify diagnoses, identify areas of focus for therapeutic goals, and/or to assist with psychotropic medication management.

Dr. Brauman offers compassionate psychological evaluations and pre-op letters of support to persons seeking gender affirming procedures. She has completed advanced training to become a WPATH GEI SOC8 Certified Member. Her evaluations are consistent with the requirements established by WPATH SOC8.

Dr. Brauman has advanced expertise in conducting psychological evaluations to assist with a variety of immigration-related concerns, including Asylum, Extreme Hardship, Cancelation of Removal, VAWA, U-Visa, and T-Visa. She also provides advanced forensic evaluations pertaining to Competency to participate in legal proceedings. All evaluations result in comprehensive written reports/affidavits of her findings. Dr. Brauman often provides expert witness testimony in the Courtroom.

Dr. Brauman is highly experienced in conducting psychological evaluations for use in criminal cases. She has served as an expert witness in multiple Federal Court jurisdictions and has testified on matters related to competency, criminal responsibility, diminished capacity, and sentencing recommendations.
